The Aquilla Trading took down the St. Joseph Patriarch, 53-49, to stay undefeated in the Duterte Cup basketball tournament last Sunday at the Capitol Parish gym.
Carlo Camacaylan led Aquilla with 14 points as the team improved to 3-0 in Bracket A. St. Joseph on the other hand, dropped to 2-1.
In other Bracket A games, Bertech defeated the Spartans, 59-50, with David Dignos tallying 14 points, four boards, and two steals. The Tisa Bulldogs also beat the Chancellors, 77-61, thanks to Mark Monte’s 15 markers. Coco & Friends also routed Toyota Mabolo, 64-38.
In Bracket B, Truck and Trail also remained unbeaten as they crushed Gridlight Electrical, 98-60, as Barok Ceniza put up 21 points. The Vines also bested V-Drink, 60-53, behind Ronald Geraldino’s 22 markers. Zeex Tailoring picked up a 51-36 over the Defenders.
Over in Bracket C, RDT edged the Snipers, 69-66, as Ianmar Tampus had 25 points. Weigen Motors got the best of DCS International, 78-62, thanks to John Cardosa’s 26 markers. Both RDT and Weigen Motors boast of identical 3-0 cards.
