CEBU, Philippines — Registration is now going on for the inaugural season of the newly-formed Bertech Basketball League-Cebu tentatively set to kick off in the third week of January next year at the Capitol Parish gym along Escario Street in Cebu City.
Bertech founder Gilbert Caballes said they’re targeting 32 teams to see action in their maiden tournament that is open only to cagers with a height of 5-foot-10.
Active or ex college varsity, pro and commercial players are ineligible to join.
So far, 10 teams have already confirmed their participation.
Each team must be composed of a minimum of 15 players.
The contenders will fight it out for the winner-take-all champion’s purse of P50,000.
Entry fee is pegged at P1,350 per player. Those who are interested to take part in the league have only until December 31 to register.
